India is living in an era of low-cost tablet devices. After a host of low-cost devices, we have a new entrant in the Indian market called TabPlus Rio. This is a desi tablet launched by Bangalore- based Digital Waves. The tablet runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform.
The company has rolled out the device with the aim of meeting the consumer needs in this competitive tablet market. The device is priced at Rs 11,990. The key feature of the tablet is its 4-side, G-sensor 3G option. The 17.8-cm (7-inch) TabPlus Rio sporting rich HD quality with 800 x 480 pixels LCD and liquid flow 5 point capacitive touch, runs on Android 2.3 platform and is powered by 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, which promises high-speed multitasking. The tablet weighs just 350 grams and measures 203 x 120 x 13 mm in dimensions.
The device offers a built-in memory of 512MB DDR2, which is expandable up to 32GB using the microSD. It is good for purposes like Web browsing with flash support, swifter multi-tasking, 3G via USB dongle (on select models, sold separately), wireless Internet connectivity, Video Chat on Skype and HD video play back. The tablet has a 3.5mm jack, along with built-in mic and speaker, and also USB and HDMI ports.
This tablet can be a delight for gamers as it offers gaming abilities including 4-side, G-sensor and an access to over 300,000 applications. Buyers will also get one year warranty from Digital Waves along with the TabPlus Rio tablet. The tablet will be shipped in India free of any charge.
