How to remove the blogger favicon (Orange Blogger sign from tabs)

It took me quite some time not to figure out how to remove the orange blogger sign from the tabs but yes to figure out that it is actually called a favicon J. So yes in this article we are going to go through the steps on how you can have your own customized favicon. Let us first see the difference:

                                                  

                                                    

To get this done, we have to follow the following steps:

1.     1.  Generate a Favicon : For this we need a image that you want to use as a favicon , Once you have decided which image you want to use as a favicon , you can generate the favicon here:

2.      2. After that we have to upload the favicon to a place from where we can refer it using a URL. We can upload the favicon at this site http://iconj.com/

                      

3. You will get a URL like this once you have uploaded your favicon at http://iconj.com/

The part in yellow is the URL of your favicon.

4.Use the URL in yellow colored part in place of the blue colored part in the below 2 lines of code:

5. Now go to your blogger dashboard

Design>>Edit Html   and the Expand Widget Templates

  

                     

 

 

6. Search for the code </head>. Place the  2 lines of code in point 4 just above </head>  

 

7.Save the template. You should now see your personalized favicon in your blog tab.
